Mystery of the night [Misterul nopții]
All the stars will twinkle soon
And above will roam with grace,
The sky's clear and the big moon
Has come out and shows its face.
In the peaceful, cloudless night,
Pleasant smells the breeze has brought
And when poetry I write
With it flies my quiet thought.
Everything is spelled and dreams
All the sweet charm to enjoy,
Only I'm alert, it seems,
What a beauty, what a joy!
